FROM MY MOTHER TONGUE
8 mins (2010)
Siamak Fallah, visual artist and religious refugee, explores his bilingual dreams as he sleeps in an inner-city gallery for two weeks. In this performance installation, Siamak uses sour orange trees – a symbol of religious oppression of the Baha’i people – from his birthplace Iran. Combined with water, ochre and paper, they illustrate his dream… a dream he has not dreamt yet.
